How to Sign Up for a Giveaway Event as a Contributor

One of the best ways for you to build your list is to enter a Giveaway event as a contributor. For those that have never done it before, the process may seem a little confusing at first, but it really is quite easy to get prepared for one.

I have made a video here to show you how you prepare for a Giveaway event. There are a few things you will need in order to participate and I will give you links to the required resources here.

Resources:

1. HTML Editor. Download Nvu for free here

2. FTP program. Download FileZilla for free here

3. Hosting. There are so many Hosting companies to choose from. You may already be using one, but if you want my recommendation then I would recommend D9 Hosting. Sign up for D9 here

4. Autoresponder service. I would only recommend one autoresponder service to you and that is AWeber. Sign up for AWeber here

5. For a listing of Giveaway events, both current (to grab some free gifts), and future events (to sign up as a contributor) click here.

6. For your free package of 54 landing pages click here

Once you have done everything as detailed in the video, you just need to log into the Giveaway Event members area, and click on the Manage Gift link and submit your gift for approval.

I hope you will find the video useful. If you have any further questions please either leave a comment here at my Blog, or you can contact me via email at support@paul-hooper.com

Keep entering these Giveaway events and you will see your list grow very quickly

  28. I just approved your post in my blog carnival. Thanks for the submission!

  29. Hi Paul,

This instructional video is really great – thanks for posting it.

And a big thank you for all the useful links.

You should be a teacher (or IM coach).

There was one bit I didn’t get. At 21:40, you say to right clear here and create directory. I couldn’t pick up on my screen, what you right clicked on?

    Anyway, great stuff.

    Talk to you soon,

    Andrew.

  30. Cliff Truss says:

    Hi Paul,

That video was just what this newb from MWA was looking for! I will be using it soon to take action.

    Great work fella :-)

I was wondering, do you think it\’s acceptable, as a subscriber to these giveaway events, to use free content? Or should we always use our own products?

If there\’s anything i can do to help, come over and say hello!

    Cliff

  31. Hi Paul

Fantastic tutorial – really helpful and has cleared a few things up for me.

I’m just about to launch my first Ebook and before watching this, I was a little confused about squeeze pages etc.

    Not now though!!

    Great stuff

    James

  32. Paul Hooper says:

    Hi James,
Thanks for your comments, i appreciate it. Congrats’ on launching your first ebook, good luck with it.

    Cheers,
    Paul

  33. Paul Hooper says:

Hi Cliff, ideally you want to use your own reports so you can get more exposure for your brand and create viral traffic from links back to your websites and blogs from your reports.
But, i wouldn’t delay your list building until you have created your own reports. It is acceptable to use free PLR content in Giveaways, and i would certainly advise you to do so to start building your list until such time you have your own reports.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  34. Hi Paul

Thanks for this great info. I’m in my first giveaway also

    Regards
    Anthony

  35. Heidi Passey says:

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. =) Unless I can watch someone go through the process via video I’m totally confused. I can’t wait until I have done a few of these and it starts becoming second nature.

    Page Bookmarked – Check. =)

Have you done any videos on adding a one time offer page or upsell after the get their ebook by chance? That is the next thing I need to figure out.

Thanks, Paul, this was great. – Heidi

  36. nicky says:

    hey paul
i bookmarked this page a while back..
now im ready to use your video..
i hope it goes as smooth as you show it to be..
im on alex’s 3.0 and this is the module we did
last night, just need to go and get a product then
i’ll have a crack, although he did say to do our own
product at first.. but to start to build a list i guess
its just best to go grab a freebie..
    nice 1 my man
    nicky

  37. Paul Hooper says:

Hi Nicky, it is always a good idea to use your own product in Giveaway events to start getting some viral traffic from your links embedded inside the report, but until you have one i would certainly advise using a PLR product just to get your list started.
Good luck with the list building
    Thanks,
    Paul

  38. Nick says:
